Throughout the development process, we as a team, came to the conclusion that we want our app to be better than a generic event organizer. We hope through research, to inform the user about the importance of staying motivated and assist them in choosing a successful path in life.  As such, we have compiled research from sources including Techcrunch.com, CNN,  Lifehacker.com, and Slate.com.  These sources coincide with our idea that a mobile app can help to better the people of the world.

Enable is suited to help this national initiative and to help other Americans as well;  “Moments before two trains collided head-on, killing 12 people, a dispatcher was playing a game on his phone, authorities said. The dispatcher was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and gross negligence Tuesday. German police said their investigation showed he had "violated operational rules" by playing the game until shortly before the collision on February 9.” – CNN.com, April 13, 2016.If the operator had a better sense of priorities he would not have been on his phone.  Enable will in fact be able to assist in this task by encompassing social, educational, career, and other fields, and indeed improve the lives of people.

One of the sources we have looked into is the world renowned TechCrunch.com.  Techcrunch has very crucial information this idea along with a plethora of others; “For app designers and users alike, this is a double-edged sword. While notifications are exciting and a way to engage users repeatedly, they’re also numbing. When half of your notifications aren’t relevant and you’re waiting for an important reply, it can be like getting phone calls from everyone but the pizza delivery guy.”  As the representatives for Enable, we are not looking to perfect people because that is simply impossible.  Rather, we are aiming to open people’s eyes to what they could be, and how they can make their lives better, which in essence is the true meaning of Empathy by Design.
